What Is the album about?
K. Michelle collaborated with Sugarland’s Kristian Bush on “Jesus & Whiskey.” The two have known each other for more than six years, giving the album a foundation built on an established creative relationship.
Bush produced the nine-track project, which will arrive through Real Outlawz Records in partnership with BBR Music Group. The collaboration connects K. Michelle with an experienced country songwriter and producer as she moves into this new chapter.
The title track, “Jesus & Whiskey,” is already available as the album’s lead single. The song follows K. Michelle’s 2025 buzz single “Jack Daniel’s,” which also appears on the upcoming album. “Jesus & Whiskey” centers on the tension between faith and human imperfection.
That contrast sits at the heart of the album’s identity. Faith, heartbreak, redemption, independence, and Southern life give K. Michelle ample emotional territory to explore throughout the record.
